Offers observation
Each time a parameter changes on Amazon, Multiply is noticed. This notification leads to a now observation. That's why the frequency of observation depends on the activity of the product page.

Marketplace limits
Price application
Amazon has a limit of 30 requests per hour for each merchant. These 30 requests are shared by the number of catalogs and your others providers such as feed managers or so.
Buy Box
There are 2 Buy Box : one for the prime offers, and one for the non-prime offers. A non-prime customer will only see the non-prime Buy Box.
The prime client will see what Amazon considers the best bargain: a prime or a non-prime offer.
The algorithm used by Amazon to grant the Buy Box is quite cloudy. It's not necessarily the cheapest that will be granted with the Buy Box.
Amazon will not give information about the Buy Box owner for used offers.
The Buy Box can have different owners, depending on the location of the customer.
Limites de Multiply
Two offers for one product
When a user has 2 offers or more on the same ASIN, Multiply may not match the right observation with the right SKU. Multiply differentiates them according to several criteria :
- The condition (new ou used)
- The status FBA / Non-FBA
If it is not possible to distinguish them, Multiply will take into account the offer with the lowest shipping fee, then the lowest landed offer.
When you have an FBA and an FBS offer, be careful not to send FBS stocks on your FBA offer; in that case Amazon will create another fictive FBS offer, and that will complicate the pricing.
Price application
It happens the price application is blocked; the price sent by Multiply is not applied on your offer :
- The Multiply target price is outside of your Amazon bounds
- The country of origin is not mentioned
- You have a discount on this offer
Pricing strategies
In this marketplace, the buybox is always awarded to a new offer when one is present. It may also be awarded to a used offer if there are no new offers. Some preference is given to sellers who have a good reputation in the marketplace.
The default strategies act based on the condition of your offer and sometimes the conditions of the competition:
- When your offer is new - Your offer seeks the buybox at the highest possible price
- When your offer is used and there are new competitors - Your offer prices itself 1 cent lower than the cheapest competing offer in a comparable condition.
- When your offer is used and all competitors are used as well - Your offer seeks to win the buybox at the highest possible price
Special conditions that are taken into account:
- When you have multiple offers on the same product - Multiply ensures that these will not compete against each other. However, if your other offer belongs to a different Multiply catalog or a different seller account, you will need to contact the customer success team in order to have this feature set up.
- When you have no competitors - Some of the default strategies send a special pre-defined value for the price in this condition.
Amazon default strategies are:
- Amazon Universal - 2 stops - Seeks the buybox at the highest price at all times
- Amazon Universal - 3 stops - Same as above but when there are no competitors, recommends the reference price
- Amazon Universal - Max if alone - Same as above but when there are no competitors, recommends the maximum price
