Create and connect my catalog

Updated by Constance Colboc

These are the first actions to take when you want Multiply to monitor your prices on a marketplace or a website. Once done, your offers and your competitors' will be displayed in Multiply.

Create my catalog

In Multiply, a catalog refers to a list of offers on a marketplace.

You can follow these easy steps to create your catalog:

Catalog > +

A new screen will appear with the fields marketplace, catalog name and seller ID

  • Marketplace: choose the marketplace from a list of the available marketplaces
  • Name : This distinctive name will appear everywhere you need to select a catalog in Multiply
  • Seller ID : follow the instructions in the section “Find your seller ID“ in Multiply’s documentation ”Marketplaces
  • Save

Your new catalog now appears in the Catalogs screen.

Connect my catalog

Once created, you still have to allow Multiply to connect your catalog to the marketplace or the website it refers to, in order to :

> recover your list of SKUs, their stock and active/inacrive status. This task called "Refresh catalog" runs once a day every morning.

> allow Multiply to send target prices to the marketplace. This task is called "Apply prices" and runs all day.

To connect your catalog, you will have to either:

  • Create a new credential set
  • Activate an existing credential set
A credential set can be used for several catalogs (it’s often the case if you have a catalog for each of your European Amazon shop).

Create a new credential set

The following procedure can be used when you credentials have expired. It is highly recommended to disable automatic pricing, add the new authorization with Amazon, wait 1 hour, check the recommended prices for incorrect price bounds or prices that would be too low, and enable automatic pricing again once you are satisfied with the recommended prices and bounds.

> Catalog > Edit> Credentials
  1. Create new credentials
    1. + Create
    2. Give a distinctive name to your new credential set
    3. The other fields differ according to the selected marketplace. Follow the instructions in the section “Find your credentials“ in Multiply’s documentation ”Marketplaces
    4. Save
  2. Test : click on the TEST button of the credential set you want to use for the selected catalog
    1. When the test succeeds, it confirms that Multiply can connect to the marketplace or website.
    2. If the test fails, the credential selected is either incorrect or not the appropriate one for this catalog.
  3. Activate
    1. Move the slider

Activate an existing credential set

> Catalog > Edit> Credentials

Under Manage your credentials, the existing credential sets are displayed for the selected catalog. (If there is none, you will have to create one first as explained above)
